TITLE DEFAULTS TO NO
Every grant in the vault is born false and must be proven true — per territory, per platform, per term, with audio scoped separately from the footage it rides on. What has ever been claimed goes on an append-only blocklist that a re-encode cannot slip past.
THE ONLY ARMOR AGAINST OWNERSHIP
The platform's file-level domain — Rights Manager, the copyright matchers — reads the bytes of every upload, and its immediate cost is mute, block or claim: you lose a post, recoverable. But the docs are blunt that this domain escalates: repeated claims feed copyright strikes, stay-down obligations, and finally the legal domain, whose cost is losing the business — liability. The armor is not a transformation trick; the docs' central correction is that no transformation reaches ownership. The armor is holding title, provably, before anything sails.
WHAT THE PLATING CAN DO
| Capability | Evidence | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Rights record schema where every grant defaults to false | T-050 | LANDED |
| Separate audio_rights table — audio never inherits the footage's clearance | T-052 | LANDED |
| Territory + platform scope resolution per grant | T-051 | LANDED |
| Reject at intake — no deferred resolution, no asset without identity keys | T-054 · #173 | LANDED |
| Rights reference non-nullable at the intake API's schema boundary | T-060 | LANDED |
| Explicit test that credit is not a rights basis | T-055 | LANDED |
| Append-only blocklist and grants — entries are never edited, only added | T-056 · #179 | LANDED |
| Dual-key matching: asset hash and work ID | T-057 | LANDED |
| Test: a re-encoded copy of a blocklisted work is still blocked | T-059 | LANDED |
| Pre-schedule blocklist check across all accounts — stay-down means every hull | T-058 | LANDED |
| Term-expiry sweep that also blocks already-queued assets, audio terms included | T-053 · #176 | LANDED |
| Every persisted scope decision names its subject, and the tests prove what they claim | #178 · #182 | LANDED |
LANDED MEANS MERGED WITH TESTS IN THE REPOSITORY — NOTHING HERE IS GENERALLY AVAILABLE YET. WHEN THIS VAULT HAS OPEN GAPS, THEY WILL BE PRINTED HERE.
WHAT BOUNCES OFF THE PLATES
Copyright strikes and stay-down obligations — one landing can take an account down. The vault answers with proof of title, and with a blocklist that remembers every claim across every account, forever.
MIMIC WARDENS →The near-duplicate index survives every re-encode by design. The vault doesn't fight it — the source catalogue makes it irrelevant: everything shipped is content we hold the rights to publish.
THE INFRINGER LEDGER →Strikes compound into repeat-infringer law. Rights proven before launch is the only defense that works in a courtroom, because it keeps you out of one.
WHY DISGUISES NEVER WORK IS DOCUMENTED — READ HOW PLATFORMS DETECT NEAR-DUPLICATES.
RightsVault rides publishing-orchestrator — the transactional core, the deck whose failure stops publishing. Rights is the first of the three gates every scheduled post must clear there, ahead of quota and originality; ORIGINALITYSCORE rides the same deck two gates down.
Credit is not a rights basis — there is a test that says so. Nothing enters without title, and title is a record with a territory, a platform, a term, and a signature; never a caption.
